There are a number of great websites out there that can help you manage your finances. We decided to share our favorites that contain free information and resources.
  1. Investing: Investor Protection Trust
    The Investor Protection Trust has a number of great resources for investors looking for information about stocks, mutual funds, bonds, exchange traded funds and more. http://www.investorprotection.org
  2. Budgeting: Financial Planning Association
    The Financial Planning Association maintains a wonderful website with simple, yet effective budgeting worksheets, tips, webinars, and more. Check out their website at http://www.fpanet.org/ToolsResources/.
  3. Saving: Choose to Save
    If you are looking for savings tips or resources, chances are www.choosetosave.org has what you are looking for. Their website is packed with free brochures, calculators, information, and savings tips. Be sure to check out the Ballpark E$timate to calculate your retirement needs.
  4. Mortgages: Homeownership.WA.Gov
    If you are struggling to make your monthly mortgage payment, or are looking for resources to assist you with buying your first home, be sure to visit www.homeownership.wa.gov. The website, maintained by DFI, contains a list of mortgage assistance programs as well as resources available to Washington residents.
  5. Taxes: Internal Revenue Services
    Tax season is quickly approaching. The IRS website is full of information about credits and deductions, where you can receive tax preparation assistance, what form to use, and even some great tax tips. Visit www.irs.gov.
