There are also fourteen more local Bank On campaigns in the making.
The Washington Asset Building Coalition (WABC) is currently developing a Bank On Washington initiative that will support these local Bank On campaigns and develop efficiencies of scale. Among other things, Bank On Washington will provide financial institution partners with a consistent, streamlined, opportunity for participation.
What's Happening
Since mid-April, WABC has been reaching out to local coalitions and financial institutions, gathering information on top priorities and developing plans for moving the statewide Bank On work forward.
At a May 23 work session, attendees discussed objectives and introduced work teams focused on specific elements of the initiative. The first three work teams are focusing on minimum account and participation standards, data tracking and reporting, and marketing. In July, new work teams will form to focus on training, financial education/community supports and funding.
