Seller beware.
There are reports of people sending in hundreds of dollars worth of items only to receive a check for a trivial amount – sometimes even less than $1. While many of these companies guarantee satisfaction, some are reported to have practices in place to make the process as difficult as possible for the seller in hope they simply give up trying to recoup the submitted items.
Sellers should exert caution when dealing with mail-in gold evaluation services, or traveling auctions and buyers; if things go awry, it may be difficult to track down and get items back.
